Disney Releases New Trailer For Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Disney released a new trailer this weekend for the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.

From the two-and-a-half minute preview, it looks like Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will have Captain Jack in pursuit of his now world-famous ship… but he’ll have to catch himself a mermaid along the way in order to find the fountain he so zealously seeks. This, however, is not the The Little Mermaid… not even close!

The fourth iteration of the film will make its way to theaters this summer on May 20. It will be the first of the series shot and released in 3D. Let’s hope the extra dimension won’t be used for the stale and staid “I’m an sharp physical object and I’m coming at ya” effect.
