New Adventure Coming Soon At Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Just when we thought Disney couldn’t immerse us in the animal world any further, they’ve done it again!

Disney announced today that it will be adding an immersive and interactive trekking experience at its Animal Kingdom theme park. The new adventure will allow guests to venture farther into the Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition Savannah, offering explorations of the Harambe Reserve.

Disney tour guides will bring small groups of guests on personalized treks through the Savannah, providing them with increased wildlife observation time as well as educational explanations about the animals’ behaviors in their natural habitats.

The tours will also venture through an undeveloped forest area within the Harambe Reserve. From this point, the groups will board a special vehicle that is specifically designed for the rest of the exploration journey. Walt Disney Imagineers and reservation specialists are still working out the details and are planning to begin ticket sales later this year.
